For International Women’s Day, March 8, 2023, Dr. Nuño was invited to Univision to share her story and the role of women in STEM Science and Education.

Congrats to the MIND Institute's Rebecca Schmidt and her co-PI Miriam Nuño, for their researchers awarded $1.35 million EPA grant to study the impact of wildfire smoke on pregnancy and kids, with a focus on vulnerable communities.

The team has been selected for funding under the CAMPOS Jump Start Program with the project “Confronting Health Misinformation to Improve Public Health: Challenges and Opportunities”

Joan Ashby started as Patient Centered Outcomes Research Intern in Developmental Data Science in Product development at Genentech South San Francisco (headquarters).

Maya Deshmukh was accepted to the ISTAART Ambassador Program Award through the Alzheimer's Association to started on April 20th, and will attend the AAIC conference on July 31, 2022.

The team received the Seed Grant Award with the project "Mathematical Models for Dengue Surveillance: Challenges and Opportunities".

Joan Ashby received a scholarship from the REC Fellows Program to conduct research on Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
